It probably came about back when everyone thought budgies had to have grit.
Is it bad to out a budgies cage on the floor.
I already feel so so bad for not letting them out of their cage since then.
I guess it wouldn t be so bad if you have a grate grill at the bottom of the cage but even with that my budgies usually find a way to pick at things down there every now and then.
We recently decided to get mirrors for our budgies and here s what happened.
My uncle has a huge cage with heaps around like 30 and they are healthy and happy and if you want to play with them cut their wings enough so they can still slightly fly but not that high so u can take them outside and still play with them inside on the floor or something but if you are too scared to risk them being hurt them you can keep them in the cage.
Hot stoves and heaters are always something to be aware of.
That s just my theory anyway.
I hope you are all doing well.
I have two budgies and one of them still isn t very tame.
Whether it is a person or an animal becoming unhealthily obsessed with something can lead to health issues too.
Make sure that your budgies cage and play areas are out and away from any walls with wallpaper on them and that the surfaces your budgie explores and could potentially chew on are paint and stain free.
Every once in a.
I don t have any plants so mine usually hang out on top of their cage on the book shelf or the floor lamp their favorite spot and the only thing that sorta resembles a tree.
I always let them out first thing in the morning and they stay out until they go to ved at night i m home all day i had to put them back into their cage because i was leaving earlier and i took a pretty nasty bite from my untame budgie.
However if you notice that something is not right with the feathers and the bird is not molting it could be a sign of a disease.
I let them out to play all the time and even then they sit on top of the cage and poop so it still ends up in the cage.
The only thing to be concerned over is if they are potentially toxic for your feathered companion.
Budgies go through molting a process through which their old feathers fall out and are replaced with new ones and ruffled feathers during molting are normal.
This is especially dangerous because your budgie will not be able to get the social interaction or fresh air that it needs.
But the main reason for that is because i was afraid in case they hurt themselves.
Whether budgies and mirrors is a bad mix can be a hotly contested budgie issue.
Yeah it s probably not ideal to use for budgies.
Some gets on the floor which i just wipe up.
Anyways i have their cage in my room where i mainly work and the room is medium sized.
The plants must be comfy perches and or high points in the room.
When they come out they mostly play on top of their cage and do occasional laps around the room.
